Abstract
This essay, written for a volume on the teaching of constitutional law, describes three related challenges in teaching that subject at the present time. The first challenge arises from the fact of rapid doctrinal change. The second arises from the fact of changing attitudes toward method in constitutional interpretation. The third arises from the precarious condition of the rule of law in the age of President Donald Trump. The essay concludes that the first challenge is ordinary and surmountable; the second, more difficult but not existentially troubling; and the third, the most difficult of all.
