Abstract
Hwesu Samuel Murray is an attorney and author with a distinguished academic career. He went to Queens College for his undergraduate degree, earned a degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1978. Prior to law school, he served in the 369th Battalion, (the famous “Harlem Hellfighters”), of the U.S. Army National Guard. He’s worked at several law firms, including Santora & Greenfield; Schneck, Weltman Hashmall & Michel; Frankfurt, Garbus, Klein & Selz; the Law Office of Russell A. Smith; Engram & Dixon; and, Reid, Rodriguez & Rouse. He has worked as a litigator, and for cases related to theatre, television, and motion pictures including the Jonathon Larsen Rent case and the Universal Soldier case. Murray has authored books including African American Economic Development, a Plan for Black America.
